Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Martin Luther King Jr. said, “If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

This quote captures the relentless spirit of a man who may have understood the profound impact he would have on society. Through his roles as a scholar, activist, and orator, King devoted his life to the peaceful pursuit of civil rights in America. His efforts were instrumental in the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964—a monumental achievement in the civil rights movement. Though King was tragically assassinated in 1968, his legacy endures. His powerful words continue to inspire generations, and in 1983, Martin Luther King Jr. Day was established as a federal holiday to honor his enduring contributions.

King did everything he could to keep us moving forward. That was his legacy.
